What Do The Ancients Say About Their God?

Itzamna, the god of the Itza, says T.A.Willard, was credited with curing the sick by the laying on of hands, and possessing the power to revive the dead.  Itzamna is said to have come in his magic skill from across the waters. (T.A. Willard, The Lost Empire of the Itzas and Mayas, p. 39, copied from Ibid. p. 42)

"H.H. Bancroft says of Zumna: 'Zumna . . .is said to have been a great ruler, the Son of  God, and who cured diseases, raised the dead, and pronounced ORACLES . . . He was represented in the form of a hand, whose touch was sufficient to restore health."   (Native Races, vol. 3, pgs. 464-465, copied from Ibid. p. 42)

Nailprints in the Hands Known to the Mayas?

The Book of Mormon says that after the three hours of great earthquakes at the death of Christ, this was followed by three days of darkness.  About a year later (3N 4:74), Jesus appeared to them and each one filed by to feel the prints in His hands.   Jesus taught them the same laws that He had taught to the Jews.  He ordained 12 men to carry on the leadership; taught them how to serve sacrament and stayed with them three days.

Hieroglyphics at Quirqua, Guatemala shows a hand design with a circle in the palm.  It's possible that this is the nail print of Christ's hand. (Book of Mormon Evidences Joseph Smith A Prophet, p. 17)
