Celestial Glory

What does celestial mean?

The soul of man is the spirit and body combined. (D.C. 85:4)

A soul who has the Comforter with them has the promise of inheriting the celestial kingdom. (D.C. 85:2)

The resurrection of the dead is the redemption of the soul (spirit and body reunited).   This is accomplished through the power of Jesus Christ, who quickens all things, and who decreed and determined that the poor and meek shall inherit the earth. (D.C. 85:4)

Because of this quickening and inheritance being given to the poor and meek, the earth must be sanctified from all unrighteousness, and prepared for the celestial glory--the highest reward given from God--God's own presence. (D.C. 85: 4)

To be "celestial", then, means that one will be of the quality to live with God, the Father.

The earth was made for this purpose of housing celestial beings, and because of this, it will be sanctified, or cleansed--the wicked, those who will not live the celestial law that Jesus gave, will be removed from it. (D.C. 85:4)

What will become of those who will not live the laws of the celestial kingdom--i.e. the laws Jesus gave to men?  Where will they live?

They must inherit another kingdom--"even that of a terrestrial kingdom", or even a lesser kingdom, that of the telestial.  And he who will not abide (live by) the law of a telestial kingdom, can not abide a telestial glory; therefore, he is not meet for a kingdom of glory.  Therefore, he must abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory.  These are the sons of perdition who defy any law of God and are cast off into the lake of fire.

As the earth is a celestial planet, then the other kingdoms--i.e. terrestrial, telestial, and the no glory level, will be placed on other  planets.
